Faecal bacteria Presence/Absence test kit

This water test kit contains 15, prepared, dry-strip tubes for presence/absence testing for thermo-tolerant (faecal) coliform bacteria (i.e. E-coli, Salmonella, Citrobacter).

The LETZTEST Educational Presence/Absence test kit includes a clear instruction booklet showing how to take samples and produce results, plus a teaching manual to describe what the test is for and what the results indicate.

• This item is not held in Supply Centre stock. To ensure maximum shelf life of the product it will be supplied directly from the manufacturer to the destination country.

User notes

• This is a very good introduction to, and first step in, water quality monitoring. It can be effectively used to demonstrate secondary contamination at home, in collected water from safe or treated sources.
• The package is designed for teams where there may be no experience in testing and, therefore, no experience in managing the reporting of results and interpretation of data.
• The test results will be achieved after 24 hours if the sample tube is kept at between 23-37°C, which could be room temperature at many project locations.
• Where required, an electricity-free incubator is available for use with the LetzTest tubes.
• Additional test tubes are available separately.
• Shelf life is 2 years.
