This equipment is provided as an alternative to an autoclave, when setting up a field laboratory for water testing.
A standard pressure cooker can be used as a steam steriliser when preparing and sterilising components of the bacteriological test kits (Petri dishes, tweezers, sample bottles etc).
The pressure cooker can be used on a standard gas or electric hob plate. Temperature inside will reach 120°C and sterilisation will be complete in 20 minutes.
Supplied with 2 x Autoclave Sterilisation tape to indicate that the process has been effective.
